A luxurious life doesn’t necessarily mean the expensive one! It also means a self-indulgent, simple and comfortable life. Let’s see what you can do to start living luxuriously even today.
Eliminate all the negatives
This refers to your own negative thoughts and also to the negative thoughts of all the pessimistic people around you. The story goes as follows: If you want to do something and know the way how to do it, then just do it! Don’t let other people influence you by saying you can’t. If you hear them say some negativity of the kind, then you have to know their reasons, which are most commonly: envy, jealousy or their own laziness. The people’s stream of thoughts is such that when they know they can’t do it, they will (subconsciously or on purpose) do everything to prevent you from reaching your goals. Don’t be naive!
Always be sincere but kind
Everything you do or have to say can be done with kindness. Forget about your grumpy attitude and smile, even if you have to utter some sad news. Avoid giggling, but a sincere smile is always well accepted. Your interlocutor will appreciate it and you will be self-satisfied afterward. Try as much as you can to be conscious of how you treat other people because this thing goes back like a boomerang. You will realize it when you need it the most how kindness works two-way.
Always decide what is it that you really want
You are well aware that even if you had millions of dollars at your own disposal, you wouldn’t be able to get everything you want, so choose wisely. You cannot clone yourself to be in two or more places at the same time nor travel in time, and that would be so nice. Life consists of choices, and when you choose something you know you have decided against something else, that’s just the way it is. Decide what is it that you really want and work in that direction.
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”― Paulo Coelho,
Create your own everyday rituals
Now, when you have realized what is it that you really want, you have to schedule things which you enjoy most to be your everyday (or every week) routine. Indulge yourself in the things you enjoy and your body and mind will feel refreshed. Maybe that’s a long walk through the park or a warm bubble bath after the stressful working hours or even a weekly coffee chat with a good friend. Whatever makes you happy should be done regularly!
Always listen to your favorite music
Relax! That is the main point of this rule! Music enables you to do it. Whichever genre you like, just make a playlist of your favorite songs, lay down and relax. You deserve it!
Have a few meaningful relationships
The essence of a luxurious life is focusing on quality rather than quantity! This reflects on your relationships which have to be the inspiring aspects of your life, not the enslaving ones! The basic rule applied here is that we cannot possibly foster deep loving relationships with anyone if we are friends with everyone. Even if you want to, you just don’t have enough time for all the people! Life is too short and days are just passing by you, so don’t waste them with the wrong people.
Don’t waste your money
“The best things in life are free. The second best things are very, very expensive.”― Coco Chanel
Did you know this quote before? Do you realize what it actually means? Coco Chanel has put it perfectly! The things in life we appreciate the most are free – love, health, home, friendships, peace of mind, etc. If you already have all that, then you are among the happiest people in the world. On the other hand, maybe you haven’t yet realized how happy you are and how luxuriously you already live? Wake up then and embrace your happiness! Even if you lack something from the list above, there is always time to get it, reach it, acquire it. Never lose faith and never give up on your dreams!
Don’t get distracted from your goals
Now, when you have well established your life goals, all you have to do is stay focused. It sounds simple, but we all know how difficult this is in the world of today. Avoid falling in for consumerism when you know that money won’t buy you your happiness. You will spend it on the things you really don’t need and will feel miserable afterward. Treat yourself to small things, but keep them free of charge or on a low budget. And there you will be – in the middle of your self-indulgent, simple and comfortable life, i.e. leading your luxurious life!
